Black Powder Cartridge Silhouette Shoots- Vintage era rifles

Bench Rest Varmint Silhouette- Shoot at a Rabbit, squirell, crow, and mouse at different ranges.

22 mini silhouette- Shoot at mini silhouettes with .22 rifles this event is held after the cmp shoots

December 2010 Newsletter

WHAT IS NEW

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING  DECEMBER 14, 2010 AT 7:00 PM AT THE EAGLES LODGE.  We will also have calendars available that night.

The  Indoor Range is finished and open.  If you would like to use it contact Mike Homm he is the liaison between SSRP & GCPD.  We have moved the .22 Pin shoots on Thursdays to the indoor range.  This makes it a much shorter drive and we have more controlled conditions. 

Anyone that would like to set up indoor or outdoor shoots just let the board know. 

There has been some interest expressed in having an open night at the indoor range anyone interested in chairing this please let the board know.  The open night would be a night where anyone could come down and shoot anything within reason without is being a specific event or competition. 

This year there are 3 board positions up for election the spots are currently held by Dennis Selfridge, Carlos Pardo, & Mike Homm.  Carlos & Mike are running for reelection, but Dennis is going to let his term expire.  Chris Hammer is running for his spot.

Candidate bios

Mike Homm has been a member since 1984 and the Vice President for the last 6 years.  Mike is committed to wise investment of the member’s money in club and range improvements.

Carlos Pardo has been a member since 1998 and the Secretary for the last 6 years.  He grew up in southwest Kansas and worked for Wheatland Electric since 1998.

Chris Hammer has been a member since 1975 and former President. 

Just for clarification the Gun Show that was at the 3-I building in November was NOT  our Collector’s Show our show is always the last full weekend in  February. 

Club membership dues are due.  They are $50.00 per year; membership runs from January 1 to December 31 not from the date you joined.  Please send your dues along with the form below filled out to SSRP P.O. Box 370 Garden City, KS 67846.  (The reason we need the form filled out is to maintain our records it is a lot easier for Henry if you fill out the form below and send it in with you dues each year) Thank You.  After Henry receives your dues he will mail you a membership card.  Dues are due January 1.
